Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park in Botswana is world-renowned for its massive elephant herds and diverse ecosystems along the Chobe River. It is a cornerstone of the KAZA TFCA.
Wildlife
Chobe hosts the highest density of African elephants in the world. Especially during the dry season, thousands of animals gather along the riverfront.
- Predators: Lions, Leopards, Hyenas.
- River Life: Hippos, Crocodiles.
- Huge Herds: Elephants and Buffaloes.
Main Gates
- Sedudu Gate: Located right by Kasane (Riverfront).
- Ngoma Gate: Border crossing to Namibia.
- Mababe Gate: Access from the south (Moremi).
- Ghoha Gate: Access to the Savuti region.
Lodges & Camping
- Chobe Game Lodge: The only lodge inside the park.
- Ihaha Camp: Popular bush camping on the riverfront.
- Savuti Camp: Legendary for predator sightings.
Pro Tip
Be sure to take a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. It is the best way to see elephants swimming and hippos bathing from a unique, close-up perspective.
